Quartetto Tomassini is comprised of four powerhouse musicians who have shared stages with the industries most accomplished performers worldwide, including U2, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Bon Jovi, Sheryl Crow and Phantom of the Opera on Broadway. The string quartet takes the listener on an unforgettable journey with a contemporary sound that embraces the rhythms of Cuban and Latin music creating rich harmonious music that is fully improvised. The ensemble includes Patrisa Tomassini and Lorenza Ponce (violin), Ina Paris (viola) and Nelly Rocha (cello).
At the heart of Quartetto Tomassini's style is the sensual sound of the Tango, but the group's versatility enable it to perform a variety of genres not previously arranged for strings, including American Standards, Pop, Rock and Roll and Jazz.
Violinist Patrisa Tomassini arranges the music from iconic Argentine tangos like Escualo by Astor Piazzolla and cinematic pieces, such as Cinema Paradiso from the movie of the same name. The arrangements are interpreted through graceful tones filled with pathos, intertwined with stirring rhythms that spark the listener's imagination.

Patrisa Tomassini (Violin)![]() performs on Broadway with Phantom of the Opera, and has been seen in My Fair Lady, The Thing About Men, The Light In the Piazza and Love Music. She has appeared on television with Andrea Boccelli, The Irish Tenors, Sean Puffy Combs and the SNL Orchestra, and the David Letterman Show. At Radio Music Hall with Bjork, U2, Sting, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra Jr, Cachao, Gloria Estefan, Meatloaf and Jazz at Merkin Hall and Dreaming the Duke at the Kennedy Center with Nnenna Freelon and Mike Garson, the Tanglewood Jazz Festival, the DC Jazz Festival with Paquito D'Rivera as well as Hernan Romero.
Tomassini had a musical part in the Netflix series Lillyhammer with Steven Van Zandt, and can be heard on recordings of James Carter, Regina Carter, Michael Jackson, Nnenna Freelon, Papo Vasquez, T.K. She performs with Glamor Tango, Astoria Tango Orchestra, New York Tango Sextet and Leading Ladies of Tango. Ina appears in recordings with Jazz greats Wynton Marsalis, Regina Carter and John Blake. She has collaborated with a wide range of accomplished artists, such as Harry Connick Jr., Mark Anthony, Chucho Valdes, La Orquesta Aragon, Pablo Milanes, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Daniel Phillips, Marcy Rosen, Gerard Schwarz, Michael Stern, Thalia, Ray Chew, Willy Colon, and Steven Van Zandt in the Netflix series Lillyhammer. Ina is also a guest performer with Cuban salsa sensation Los Van Van. Her classical collaborations include the Brandenburg Ensemble, Queens Baroque Orchestra and the Queens College Orchestra. Ina has toured China with Glamor Tango and has appeared on television with Soundtrack '63 at the Apollo Theater, Jesus Christ Superstar live concert on NBC adn Elton John's Grammy Tribute with Chris Martin on CBS.

Lorenza Ponce (Violin)![]() is a dynamic performer, mesmerizing audiences worldwide with her mastery of the violin, beautiful vocals, and her dramatic yet graceful stage presence. She is a current member of Jon Bon Jovi’s solo group, and was the violinist/vocalist for the Bon Jovi Lost Highway World Tour. Lorenza has recently been playing with Sam Smith, has toured extensively with Sheryl Crow, was the lead violinist and string contractor for Hall and Oates, and string contractor/arranger for The Dixie Chicks Top of The World Tour. Lorenza Ponce has been the featured performer in two PBS Specials: featured violinist/vocalist for John Tesh’s One World , and featured violinist for Japanese new age star, Kitaro’s “An Enchanted Evening.” Lorenza has also toured with John Tesh, Kitaro, and Ben Fold s Five.
